So I just got back from Portland for my sister Jessyka's baby shower. It was an excellent albeit short trip to the rainy city [although we got zero rain], but the highlight of the time [besides spending time with my family members, sleeping in my own bed, blah-dee da da] was definitely receiving the tiger stencil I accidentally had sent to my parents house. Can I please just have it on all of my clothing and bags and drawn all over my body already? No? Okay, well I'll have to get on that then.
Tiger stencil! In two sizes, so I can put it ANYWHERE!
Tiger stencil in action. Harper's gonna be one badass babe.
...I was sleeping. I wish I was finishing decorating the onesies for Miss Harper Joyce. I wish I was putting together my dresser. I wish I was stenciling my other dresser. I wish I was organizing my life. I wish I was watching J.Wow and Snooki. But no. I'm working on a paper/presentation [which, ironically enough, is on co-sleeping] and reading an article for my psych class tomorrow. And then I'll get to sleep [hopefully soon], but before long, I'll be up again [too damn early] for work, then practicing for/ finishing up the presentation in the library, then class for poster session and then even more wonderful lecture. Then I'll finally get to breathe again for the first time since Saturday night, until I have to go to work again tomorrow evening. I love summer. It's so laid back.
Well it's been a crazy couple weeks. As you know, I sent that wonderful week in Cordova with my seester and her baby bump, but then I returned just in time for a truly exhausting week of my new job and summer classes. But all of that calmed down and I got into a rhythm with school work, work work and actually getting some sleep... just in time for the lease on our house to start and then I had to move all my stuff in! I'm still working on getting a bed and dresser, but with one [of roughly a million] box unpacked, I'm taking a break til my parents and brother get down here tomorrow. Yep, you heard right, folks! My parents and brother are coming down for the fourth! I'm so excited because they get to see [and help with] my new house, but also because it's going to be the first time my brother is visiting! yay!
Thank you for your patience with my inability to organize my photographs from my trip to Alaska. I will hopefully have a couple posts for you over the next couple days and then a post about moving with some photos of my new house! yay!
